What You'll Do:
- Operate and set up label machine/equipment.
- Lubricate, adjust and clean label machine/equipment.
- Maintain and set up machinery on the label line.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance on all labeling equipment.
- Examine cans to ensure that the correct labels are being applied to the designated product and batch.
- Examine the cartons to ensure that the cartons are printed according to the customer's specifications.
- Inspect and compare pallet tickets against pallet load to ensure accuracy.
- Complete all necessary entries on order and label work order.
- Complete daily label report.
- Record and explain all extra cases used.
- Knowledge of computers for bar coding & TrakSyS.
- Operate computerized printing equipment.
- Assist in training employees in the label department.
- Complete Quality Assurance paperwork in the absence of Quality Assurance personnel.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor
- Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedure.
- Notify supervisor/manager immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred.
- One to three months related experience and/or training as a line operator, preferred.
- Basic knowledge of machine repair and maintenance, preferred.
