Lakeside Foods is excited to announce an opening for General Manager at our Manitowoc Packaging Facility—a high-impact role responsible for leading packaging operations, driving performance, and fostering a culture of excellence and safety.

This opportunity was made possible by our commitment to developing talent from within. The previous incumbent was promoted internally following a successful career at Lakeside, continuing our tradition of growth and advancement. Now, we’re looking for the next leader to build on that legacy.

What You’ll Do

As General Manager, you’ll be the cornerstone of our Manitowoc packaging facility’s success. You’ll:

• Lead and develop management teams across packaging, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.
• Oversee all aspects of packaging operations including scheduling, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and logistics coordination.
• Ensure strict compliance with company policies, government regulations, and food safety standards.
• Champion a proactive safety culture focused on both plant safety and employee well-being, including oversight of safety training, audits, and incident prevention.
• Collaborate with corporate and regional leadership to align operations with strategic goals.
• Administer budgets and recommend capital improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Support and enforce programs that maintain Lakeside’s reputation as a high-quality, safe food producer.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations, with progressive leadership roles.
• 5+ years managing cross-functional teams including packaging, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of plant operations, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Experience managing warehouse, shipping, and logistics functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
