Inventory Coordinator

Responsible for maintaining adequate semi-finished goods distribution. Provide assistance on capacity coordination across Lakeside Facilities. Utilize the most efficient interplant tranfers, storage, and labeling/packaging resources, to prepare for seasonal availability through Lakeside Foods supply chain.


What you'll do:

  • Investigate and gain knowledge of demand trends that will effect inventory levels. Priority to be placed on tasks that prevent product shortage. Set inventory goals and report on areas of inventory concern to proactively inform and prevent service failures across each facility.
  • Enter, develop, and maintain SAP network settings or any other process/system relevant to distribution of semi-finished goods.
  • Become the main liaison with warehouse management and schedulers to deliver suggested new pack distribution and maintain levels of stock for semi-finished goods.
  • Summarize list of new pack availability by commodity. Coordinate quickest in stock date from new pack.
  • Track when STO’s (Stock Transfer Orders) are created, and identify STO’s that are past due. 
  • Track Stock Builds ahead of fall promotions. Ensure that high volume items have increasing inventory starting in August. Document the targets for finished goods, and report on whether levels are adequately avoiding excessive OT that can occur in fall.
  • Provide follow up on product allocations. Track inventory quantities on allocation to service sales request.  Identify and update bulk/brite quantities that have yet to be converted to finished goods as instructed during initial allocation.
  • Inform Inventory Manager of bulk/brite inventory achieved at each facility.

  • Provide summary of target inventory for brite/bulk and finished goods to match demand.

  • Work with warehouse personnel to coordinate effective replenishment of both semi-finished and finished goods stocking levels.

  • Create and maintain stock reports needed from SAP to ensure that each facilities capacity is optimized.

  • Track entry and delivery performance between facilities for both brite/bulk and finished goods.

  • Responsible for projects or other jobs as assigned.


What you'll need:

  • Two-year Material’s Management degree or a combination of both a two-year degree and a minimum of three to five years inventory control experience.

  • Must have a working knowledge of queries and spreadsheets.

  • General contact with customers.

  • Little direction, guidance needed.

  • Good decision-maker.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • High level of computer experience/query writing skills.

  • Ability to collect information from reports, records, or other available sources, establish the accuracy of the information, and summarize the information in the form of a new report or document.
