Working out of our Corporate Office, this hourly position oversees inventory management and order replenishment of packaging needs for assigned accounts, fixes shortage problems and reviews material forecast data. Utilizing our SAP management tools, you will collaborate with numerous teams to manage efficient flow of all materials and coordinate inventory between multiple labeling/packaging facilities.


What you'll do:

  • Utilize systems and reports to check for replenishment needs and ensuring packaging inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules.
  • Confirm daily shortages of materials with internal customers and resolve shortages.
  • Request physical inventories at labeling/packaging locations as needed to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Act as primary internal and external contact for assigned accounts on all packaging concerns.  This includes inter-plant transfer coordination, supplying inventory balances as requested, and design transition management.
  • Responsible to manage packaging version control.
  • Responsible for verifying the accuracy of product and planning data in appropriate software systems and communicating any necessary changes to Data Governance.
  • Notify Data Governance team of any changes to suppliers, supplier pricing, and/or supplier lead-times.
  • Place purchase orders for packaging, utilizing available software to evaluate planning recommendations.
  • Follow up daily on open purchase orders, to assure timely arrival, communicating, and expediting as necessary.
  • Responsible for purchase order management – verifying quantity to be delivered, confirm accuracy of price listed on purchase order, and identify/resolve any vendor shipment or Lakeside receiving issues.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Responsible for review (approval at Material Managers discretion) of all new design/redesigned customer artwork for packaging. Includes collaboration with Quality personnel, updating customer databases, and maintenance of appropriate departmental documentation.
  • Work closely with Sales and Forecast Manager to ensure forecast accuracy and resolve planning issues.
  • If necessary, collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Supplier on packaging sizes and resolving packaging issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What you’ll bring:

  • Associate or Supply Chain Management Degree, Material’s Management certificate, or a minimum of two years inventory management, procurement, or supply chain experience.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks under changing circumstances.
  • Independent worker, needing little direction or guidance.
  • Problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email communications, electronic file management, and SAP S/4Hana.
  • Ability to be clear and concise in both written and verbal communications, accurately answer questions from customers, design agencies, and others about the company’s products and processes, and other activities requiring good listening skills and tactful business communications.
  • Ability to analyze inventory and demand, and access information from reports, records, or other available sources, verifying accuracy of that information, and summarize it on new reports or documents.
  • Must possess ability to think independently to complete general assignments.
