Semi Driver - 1st Shift

The Semi Driver loads and hauls company product to and from various locations as directed by Management. This position also includes driving the spotter truck, as well as a forklift. This position is located at Lakeside Foods Packaging Center.

What You’ll Do:

• Represent Lakeside Foods in a positive, professional manner.
• Assist in loading semi trailer, ensuring that weight is evenly distributed over all axles.
• Drive semi to designated locations in a safe and lawful manner, ensuring delivery of contents without shifting or damage.
• Fill out associated log books and mileage reports of company vehicle.
• When not driving, assist in the warehouse as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma required.
• A commercial drivers license class A from an accredited college or technical school, which includes driving a manual semi.
• Three to five years' driving experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, such as bills of lading, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Safety mindset.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
