GENERAL SUMMARY:
Supervises the palletizing and storage of canned product. Maintains a flow of empty cans to the canning room. Performs maintenance of the equipment and machinery in the palletizing area.

What You’ll Do:
- Performs required repairs and the maintenance on palletizing equipment, and associated machinery during production and non-production periods.
- Supervises and ensures an adequate flow of empty cans supplied to the canning room.
- Responsible for the communication of lot and damaged good product issues to management.
- Ensures the accuracy of pallet tags and all other associated paperwork that develops from the palletizing area.
- Train production seasonal and/or full time employees in the proper, safe, and efficient operation of the machinery to which they are assigned.
- Responsible for supervising and monitoring seasonal labor to ensure job tasks are being completed in a safe manner. Must correct unsafe acts immediately.
- Handle minor personnel problems. Refer major problems to managers.
- Responsible for the major repair, maintenance, & installation of all machinery in the assigned area.
- Orders parts & supplies, and assists in the assessment of new machinery & equipment as needed.
- Estimate labor hours & materials for specific job, while being cost conscious of all aspects.
- Participates in special project teams as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- A two year certificate from college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
