The Cold Storage/Shipping Foreperson coordinates the storage and shipping of frozen product. Works with Cold Storage, Production, Repack and QA Supervisors to ensure that customer needs are met. Directly supervises a crew of forklift operators.

Compensation:

• Pay: $18.00 to $21.00 per HOUR

What you'll do: 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assigns, trains, directs and monitors forklift operators in the performance of their duties. 
• Recommends changes to staffing levels and assigns overtime. 
• Recommends discipline of employees according to Company policies. 
• Prepares/plans orders for staging. Assigns crew members to specific customer orders for staging. Ensures proper inventory rotation and that product has been released for shipping. 
• Inspects equipment daily and arranges for maintenance and repairs. 
• Assists with departmental meetings and the dissemination of Company policies and changes. 
• Operates computer to monitor/plan frozen product storage and shipping. 
• Interfaces with and resolves problems with shipping company representatives. 
• Ensures that work areas are clean and safe. 
• Complies with and assists with the implementation of the Company’s Safety and Food Safety Programs. 
• Takes on the responsibilities of the Cold Storage Supervisor as necessary during absences, vacations etc. 
• Operates a forklift when necessary to assist crew with the completion of an assignment. 
• Performs other duties as required. 

What you'll bring:

• High school diploma or GED; or a combination of education and related experience. 

• Experience working in a manufacturing facility strongly desired.
